About the Project

Overview

KXD was a multi-platform loyalty product designed to connect users with local businesses in Mexico City.

  • B2C app + web: Users discovered deals on food, services, and products, while earning Dinero Kiwiik points and surprise rewards.

  • B2B web/mobile platform: Businesses uploaded promotions, managed loyalty programs, and engaged directly with customers.

We successfully affiliated 200+ small businesses in CDMX, creating a thriving ecosystem for users and merchants.

The Challenge

Small businesses lacked affordable digital tools to promote products and retain customers.
Consumers found loyalty programs fragmented and inconvenient.

Goal: Build a unified ecosystem where:

  • Users easily find, purchase, and collect rewards.

Businesses manage offers, loyalty, and customer engagement with simple tools.

My Role

As Product Designer & Cofounder, I led end-to-end UX/UI design across both B2C and B2B platforms:

  • Designed onboarding, purchase flows, loyalty features, and dashboards.

  • Created the brand system and component library (Sketch → Figma).

  • Conducted user research and usability testing to validate flows.

  • Collaborated with engineers, PMs, and stakeholders to align features with technical feasibility.

Defined product + marketing strategy, including acquisition funnel and visual identity.

Project Execution

Design Approach

  • User Flows: Iterated on login, registration, and reward redemption to reduce friction.

  • Interfaces: Crafted responsive designs and scalable UI for both web and mobile.

  • Loyalty Mechanics: Designed Dinero Kiwiik (points as currency), surprise gifts, and business-sponsored rewards.

  • Testing: Wireframes and prototypes validated navigation, promotion cards, and checkout clarity.

  • Scaled adoption to hundreds of users through intuitive design.
